Arizona Car Insurance - Your auto insurance in Arizona
PJS Insurance Services understands the Car, Truck and SUV Insurance needs of our Arizona customers.
A Car insurance policy is a contract between you and an insurance company. You pay a premium, and in exchange, the insurance company promises to pay for specific car-related financial losses during the term of the policy. Work with us to determine the best coverage for you. As covered on the Auto Insurance Basics page, there are basic coverages that may be required by the State you live in. There are additional coverages that can be customized to provide more protection for pennies on the dollar and we cover those here.
Car insurance requirements vary by state. In some states, to drive you must carry:
Liability coverage – to pay for losses you cause others, or
No-fault coverage – to pay you and your passengers for medical and related expenses caused by injuries from a car accident, regardless of who is at fault, or
Both liability and no-fault coverage.
Arizona auto, home & life insurance is as unique as you are!
We write Car insurance in Arizona and are happy to help ensure you have the right coverage for where you live.
Even in states where coverage isn’t required, drivers must, by law, be able to pay for losses they cause others. Having insurance is the simplest way for most people to comply. To finance a car, it is usually necessary to have insurance which covers damage to your vehicle. This includes:
What is collision & comprehensive coverage?
Collision insurance coverage pays for damage caused to your vehicle in an automobile accident. Standard collision coverage will pay for any repairs up to the fair market value of your car. Collision coverage usually also comes with an insurance deductible. It’s the amount of money you pay toward repairs before your collision insurance kicks in. The higher the deductible you’re willing to pay, the less the collision coverage will cost.
Comprehensive Insurance (Other than Collision)
Comprehensive insurance covers damage done to your car in some way other than a collision, such as if it were stolen or vandalized. Flood, hurricane, theft, and fire are also events usually covered by comprehensive car insurance. Like collision, comprehensive will pay up to the fair market value of your car (less your insurance deductible). And although it’s not legally required by any state, you will probably need it if your car is financed.
Are there additional coverages and savings for my Arizona auto insurance?
Additional Coverages & Savings
As we work together to put a complete Auto Insurance package into place, you can also elect to add the following products.
Accident Forgiveness - Many companies offer this after 3-5 years of being accident free. Some companies will offer this from Day 1!
Roadside Assistance - Basically the same offered by AAA or Road Club. The advantage is if you have your companies mobile app on your phone, all of your information about your account and vehicle are already loaded. Add the fact that your app can give the company your exact location as well. Some companies will include Car Rental Coverage with Roadside Assistance, while others offer it as an added product.
Full Glass Coverage - You can add this under your Comprehensive Insurance and it covers windshield repair and/or replacement with $0 out of pocket. Here in Arizona (the land of rocks), that can save a lot of money. It's not just the glass that must be replaced, but today's vehicles that have Forward Collision Alert or other safety features, have to be recalibrated to ensure they work properly.
Medical Payments to Others - Along with your Liability coverage, if you normally have other occupants riding in your vehicle, and involved in an accident, this can reimburse you if you pay, out of pocket, for hospital expenses up to the amount you elect. Usually ranges from $1,000 to $10,000 and can cover up to 4 other people.
Safe Driving App or Plugin - You can save from 8 - 15% on your new policy and future renewals. Opt for the plugin module that inserts into the ODB port, usually located under the steering wheel. Or, just download the Safe Driving App. Either will monitor your driving habits for 2 - 4 months and if you don't hard brake, speed, or do late night driving you can continue to receive additional savings.
